Nine Fun Evening Activities Before Summer Ends
From movies to New York burlesque to golf, boating, dueling pianos and celebrity performers— National Harbor has nightlife!
NATIONAL HARBOR, Md., July 18, 2022—National Harbor has the most exciting and varied lineup in the DMV for fun summer entertainment and activities. From the property’s own Date Night Movies on the Potomac
to MGM National Harbor Theater’s
world-class entertainment including Bruno Mars, Alicia Keys, Femme It Forward, Marcus King and more. Here are other options for summer:
Topgolf (6400 Clipper Way) offers a variety of exclusive offers and promotions including half-price Tuesdays. This unique concept allows participants to rent a golf bay where they can enjoy drinks and food with friends while also practicing their golf swing, although no previous golf experience is required.
The extremely popular, off-Broadway show, Speakeasy
Live!, is at National Harbor through July 31 in the Sunset Room (137 National Plaza, Suite 200.) Brought to National Harbor by Bond 45, the burlesque like show has been described as the best of cirque, illusion and musical theater. The all-in-one, immersive, mixology experience and show was a sellout in New York and is receiving the same stellar reception at National Harbor. Tickets are available exclusively through Fever, while they last.
Bobby McKey’s Dueling Piano Bar
(172 Fleet Street,) provides live nightly music by performers who have also showcased their talents in a variety of music venues including as backup for celebrity artists, music writers, etc. The venue is perfect for groups including office gatherings, bachelorette parties, birthdays, anniversaries, girls night out, etc.
Take in the night lights at Replay located at Gaylord National’s Pose Rooftop Lounge. Indulge in over-the-top milkshakes in the 80’s themed pop-up bar while you play your favorite retro arcade games. There will be plenty of insta worthy pictures to remember the night.
National Harbor’s waterfront activities continue nightly with boat rentals including the new Potomac Paddle Club
pedal boat that can accommodate 8-20 for a 90 minute cruise on the Potomac. The boat allows up to 10 people at a time to pedal. BYOB (no hard liquor.) The last evening cruise is at 8:30 p.m. daily; 11 p.m. on Fridays.
Also on the waterfront, The Capital Wheel (141 American Way) has daily happy hour at its adjoining waterfront lounge—Flight Deck; and a variety of packages. Visitors may want to take advantage of observing National Harbor’s award-winning sunsets from 180 feet up in the comfort of climate-controlled gondolas. Views across the Potomac River include Washington’s monuments in the distance. Open daily 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
On August 6 and 7, the Water Lantern Festival
returns to National Harbor (701 National Harbor Blvd.) The festival includes food trucks, music and fun. Each ticket includes a floating lantern kit, an LED candle, commemorative bag, marker and lantern retrieval. The sellout event culminates with the amazing and peaceful view of the lanterns floating. Gates open at 5 p.m.
“With National Harbor’s eight hotels, more than 40 dining options, boutique shops and Tanger Outlets, it’s easy for visitors to stay overnight or make a Harborcation out of a trip to National Harbor,” said Jackie Saunders, AVP of marketing at National Harbor. “This is also the perfect base location for those who want to visit Washington, D.C. monuments and museums or see other sites in the area such as Mt.
