National Harbor Welcomes 30K Square Feet of New Tenants and Celebrates 14 Years
Four new tenants announced including Silver Diner
NATIONAL HARBOR, Md., March 23, 2022—On April 1, National Harbor
officially turns 14 and welcomes four new tenants on the heels of three other tenants (Bombay Street Food, PrimoHoagies and BurgerFi) announced in January. Square footage signed to date, since January 1, is just over 30,000 square feet with more leases to be announced soon.
Tom’s Watch Bar
(200 American Way,) is a 10,881 square foot ultimate sports bar “promising all the sports, all the time.” With elevated food and beverage offerings, and multiple locations around the country, including two in D.C., it has been described as “the ultimate sports watching experience.” Opening in late 2022.
Sticky Situation
(170 American Way) is a 2,862 square foot honey-lovers ultimate tasting room experience. Opening in August, the store provides tastings and education on a variety of honeys and maple syrups. From local honey, artisan-infused honey, real maple syrup and bee pollen from more than 12 bee colonies across the country, as well as savory oils and vinegars, this store has it all!
Escapology
(230 American Way) brings 3,675 square feet of escape room fun. Opening in the fall of 2022 with five rooms and expansion plans to include eight rooms, it offers a high adrenalin escape game where players are locked inside a themed room and must complete their mission before time runs out. During the 60-minute experience players are immersed into a real-life adventure where they must find hidden clues, crack codes, solve challenging puzzles and escape. There’s a special program for kids 7-14 that provides a little extra help in solving clues. Some of the specially licensed rooms include Scooby-Do, Batman and Star Trek themes. With locations around the world, it has been hailed by users as one of the best escape room experiences in the world. This is the first escape room in Prince George’s County.
When Silver Diner (108 Waterfront St.) opens its 7,132 square foot location in National Harbor in 2023, it will be the restaurant group’s 21st location. Known for its large menu that includes diner classics along with vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and low calorie items, it has developed a huge following with multi-generational appeal. While keeping its distinctive diner culture, this location will have a design layout unlike any other and with a full open-air bar and patio.
These new tenants join Bombay Street Food (151 American Way) opening next month and recently opened PrimoHoagies and BurgerFi and more than 60 other food establishments, specialty boutiques and shops, gourmet stores, entertainment venues and national brands.
“We are very excited to announce that we have executed over 30,000 square feet in this first quarter with several other leases in the works. We continue to work diligently to evolve National Harbor into the retail, restaurant and entertainment destination for the southeast quadrant of the Washington, D.C. region.” said Kimli Cross, vice president of leasing for Peterson Companies (owners and managers of National Harbor).
With more than 2,500 residents and traffic of 19.5 million annually, it’s no surprise that National Harbor is a popular place for tenants. With its prime riverfront location, easy access and convenient parking combined with a location that’s minutes from Washington, D.C.; Northern Virginia and Maryland, National Harbor offers a unique experience.
Cross added, “Over the past 14 years, National Harbor has established itself as a major destination by carefully curating our tenant portfolio. It is our goal to further enrich the customer experience for our residents and visitors —all part of a community that has been master-planned by one developer so that it’s architecturally cohesive and well designed.”
