Veterans in Pickleball Tournament
November 11, 2024 9:00 AM –4:00 PM
Veterans in Pickleball is proud to host our Second Annual National Harbor Pickleball Tournament on November 11, 2024. This year's theme is "BATTLE OF THE BRANCHES!" We want to see which military branch of service comes out on top! It is a Salute to Service members and the community that supports them.
The tournament will be held at Spirit Park, National Harbor's latest update to honoring the men and women who have served in the military. Spirit Park will offer access and space to hold eight courts or more, so there will be plenty of room for players and spectators.
The tournament games will use the following format: round-robin with four pools guaranteeing a minimum of three games for all participants. The top two teams in each pool will move to bracket play, a single elimination format, played out until we have our first championship team. Players of all skill levels are encouraged to participate, and there will be something for everyone at the tournament.
In addition to the pickleball tournament, the event will be close to various other activities, including food and vendors.
Why are Veterans in Pickleball hosting the event?
Veterans In Pickleball is committed to promoting the sport of pickleball and making it accessible to the Veterans community and the people who support it of all ages and skill levels. The National Harbor Pickleball Tournament is a way to showcase how pickleball can positively impact those veterans' and service members' mental health and wellness and introduce this great sport to them.
