Join us for a morning of fun at National Harbor’s Kids Day brought to you by M-NCPPC!
Grab the kiddos and head to National Harbor for Kids Day every Tuesday at 10:30am from June - August. Enjoy the summer sunshine and a rotation of family friendly activities on the Plaza.

June Schedule
June 4: Meet and greet with the Prince George's County Police Department and Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department.
June 11: Kids programming with WHUT: LYLA IN THE LOOP Premiere: Join us for a screening of our newest show, LYLA IN THE LOOP. "Lyla in the Loop" is a funny and engaging new animated series for kids ages 4-8 about Lyla Loops and her fantastical blue sidekick, Stu, who use creative and strategic problem-solving and critical thinking skills to help their family, friends, and community!
June 18: Join the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System for a morning of interactive story time, singing, dancing and more.
June 25: Kids programming with WHUT. Feel the Beat: Calling all music lovers for an exciting arts and instruments activity topped off with a dance party to some of our favorite past and present PBS Kids Jams!
July Schedule
July 2: Fitness fun with Onelife Fitness.
July 9: Kids programming with WHUT. Nature Cat Scavenger Hunt: Meet us at the harbor as we explore nature and engage in an interactive scavenger hunt around the Potomac River.
July 16: Canceled due to heat advisory
July 23: Kids programming with WHUT. Full Steam Ahead: A little bit of science, a little bit of math and a whole lot of fun! Let's work our way through some fun activities from some of our favorite PBS KIDS series!
July 30: Kids programming including:
- Alice in Wonderland Teen Ensemble Performance by M-NCPPC Department of Parks and Recreation.
- Arts on the roll with M-NCPPC Department of Parks and Recreation: Brings creative mobile workshops in theatre, dance, music, and visual arts to community events. It offers interactive arts experience for all ages, from school programs to festivals. Learn more here.
August Schedule
August 6: Kids programming including:
- All Around the World with WHUT: Pack your (imaginary) bags and travel with us around the world as we learn about different cultures and race to fill out passports at various stations.
- Come out and Play with M-NCPPC Department of Parks and Recreation: Is in various locations in Prince George’s County. There are a variety of outdoor activities, from disc golf and giant lawn games to a skate mobile and video game truck. Find out when Come Out and Play will be near you here.
August 13: Kids programming with M-NCPPC Department of Parks and Recreation including:
- The United States Army Brass Quintet: Join us for a fun concert filled with music, stories and dancing. Afterwards, stay for a Q&A with the musicians.
- Come out and Play: Is in various locations in Prince George’s County. There are a variety of outdoor activities, from disc golf and giant lawn games to a skate mobile and video game truck. Find out when Come Out and Play will be near you here.
- Get Fit Mobile: Travels to parks in Prince George’s County, providing outdoor exercise classes for busy families. Promoting healthy behaviors, it offers quick and effective workouts for all fitness levels, making fitness accessible to everyone. August 20: Kids programming including:
- Be My Neighbor Day with WHUT: Join us for a chance to meet some of the community helpers who are helping to keep our neighborhoods safe and learn more about their world of work.
- Parkour with a Ranger & Park Police with M-NCPPC Department of Parks and Recreation: Combines the dynamic sport of parkour with educational interactions lead by Park Rangers. Additionally, Maryland National Capital Park Police, Prince George’s County Division will bring a variety of resources and activities out to the community. Participants learn to navigate obstacles while engaging with community helpers, gaining insights into park management, conversation, and safety practices. August 27: Kids programming including:
- Prince George’s County Memorial Library System's interactive story time, singing, dancing and more.
- The Sankofa Mobile Museum is an interactive museum focused on sharing local Prince George's County history. Bridging the past to the present, this time-traveling trailer provides people with immersive and thought-provoking experiences aimed to build knowledge and understanding, inspire curiosity and inquiry, and instill belonging and empathy.
