The Awakening sculpture is a five piece cast iron sculpture depicting the arousing of a bearded giant with a head, hand, outstretched arm, bent knee and foot arranged to suggest that the giant is breaking free from the earth. Set-Up Events presents the Battle of Potomac Sprint Triathlon on Sunday September 30 at 7:00AM. Held entirely within the National Harbor Property this event features a 750 meter swim, 9.6 mile (2 loop) bike and a 5K out and back run that finishes in front of The Awakening.
