175 Performers Needed for Holiday Program
National Harbor, MD – With National Harbor coming to life over the coming months, the new city by the river is already looking ahead to hosting a holiday spectacular, “Voices of National Harbor Candlelight Processional,” a musical narrative of the story of Christmas. National Harbor is holding auditions throughout April for talented singers in the Maryland, Washington and Virginia area interested in performing in the musical directed by Dr. Emory Andrews, Choir Director of the award winning Oxon Hill High School Choir. This new family holiday tradition’s inaugural season will include performances every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening at 7p.m. from November 28 to December 31, 2008. High schools from across the region will be invited as guest performers for each performance. Auditions for “Voices of National Harbor Candlelight Processional” will be held in the vocal music room, T9, at Oxon Hill High School. Interested performers do not have to commit to all performances and can audition at the following dates and times:
Monday, April 28th, 6-8pm (open for Maryland residents)
Tuesday, April 29th, 6-8pm (open for District residents)
Wednesday, April 30th, 6-8pm (open for Virginia residents)

National Harbor will begin to awaken its waterfront throughout the coming seasons. April will see the launch of the 300-acre development’s water taxi service and lunch and dinner cruises. Festive events including a food and wine festival and yacht show follow in the coming months. Rolling openings of retail, dining and entertainment will continue throughout the year.
