Design and construction teams have been working for many years to build the promise of National Harbor. And recent activity has reached a new level of intensity, culminating with the construction of foundations for the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center – the largest center of its kind on the Eastern seaboard.

Recent activities include

North Marina and Gaylord Piers – under construction by Cianbro. Expected Completion – October 2007.
Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center (2000 rooms) – under construction by Perini Tompkins. Expected Completion – March 2008.
Building E (Retail/Condo Sales Center) – under construction by Clark Construction. Completed - May 2007.
Building J (Parking Garage/Office/Retail)– under construction by Coakley Williams. Expected Completion – December 2007.
Building L (Residential Condo) – under construction by Clark Construction. Expected Completion – January 2008.
Building K (Residential Condo) – under construction by Clark Construction. Expected Completion – October 2008.
Building M (Parking Garage/Office/Retail) – under construction by Coakley Williams. Expected Completion – March 2008.
Building P (Parking Garage/Retail) – under construction by HITT Contracting, Expected Completion – February 2008.
Buildings B, D & Public Plaza – under construction by Facchina-McGaughan Expected Completion – April 2008.
Marina Piers – under construction by Cianbro Corporation. Expected Completion – October 2007.
Marriott Residence Inn Construction – under construction by Herman Stewart. Began November 2006 and to open Summer 2008.
Hampton Inn Construction – under construction by Herman Stewart. Began November 2006 and to open March 2008.
Westin Hotel Construction – under construction by Whiting – Turner. Began December 2006 and to open March 2008.
Traffic Signals and Site Lighting – under construction by M.C. Dean. Excepted Completion – February 2008.

Upcoming activities include
American Way (Paving, Landscaping, Kiosks) – construction to begin 3Q/2007.
Building C and H-1 to be awarded August 2007. Construction to begin September 2007.
Harborwalk (paving, lighting, site furnishings) – to be awarded 4Q/2007.
